Kirklee’s booth had two great paint jobs, including the Starry Night roadie that won an award (pictured after the break) and that kid’s $8,000 20″ carbon tri bike that we’ve posted before (now we’ve got a few close up pics!).
The road bike above is a carbon fiber road bike that’s painted to look like it’s made of wood, a la Renovo, with the logo appearing to be branded into the wood. It’s a pretty cool effect; jump past the break to see some detail shots and more…
To say this bike’s received a few looks would be an understatement. We featured the owner lined up at a kids race as a Pic of the Day and it has almost 8,000 views. Of course, as a lover of all things bicycle, if we had the means, why the heck not?
This bike won Best Paint for its Starry Night recreation. Below it were signed color tests from the artist.

Custom paint jobs are always an option.
Although there’s limited info on their website about them, Kirklee does make custom carbon fiber mountain bikes, too.
This full carbon racing road bike with integrated internal Shimano Di2 wiring was built for 4x Swiss Cross champion Christian Heule.
