Bontrager’s new Specter helmet is aimed squarely at the enthusiast cyclist that wants a full featured helmet without the top level price. Suggested retail is $139, putting it in the upper mid-level of pricing, but it shares most of the features you’ll find on their $179 Oracle.
Even better, it’s 5-20g lighter depending on size (claimed weight is 270g to 340g, S to L). The Specter has large front openings with internal channels to move air over your head. It has AgION antimicrobial pads to prevent funk and thinner, lightweight chin straps with adjustable, locking strap dividers.
