2013 AX Lightness Vial road bike with lightweight carbon fiber frame

AX Lightness unveiled the Vial road bike frame in January, claiming a 745g frame weight (medium) without sacrificing stiffness. Now that we’ve got a closer look, we believe them. It’s quite gorgeous with a sweeping top tube into the seatstays, but the bottom bracket section meets up with a massive rectangular downtube.

Put it together with a host of their own lightweight components and you get a bike that tips the scales at just 10.8lbs (4.9kg).

Their SRT 24 Ultra carbon tubular road wheels give the Tune wheels a run for their money as the lightest wheelset available. The brands seem to regularly use each others’ parts on builds.

Kinda boring , also you can get lighter and cheaper sets at Scott, C-dale and others as well as nice Enve clinchers for less.
