Genesis Bikes from the UK designs stylish steel and aluminum builds that range from mountain to track. They’re now shipping the 2013 Croix de Fer just in time for ‘cross season, winter commuting, or both.
The Croix de Fer gets a Reynolds 725 steel frame with a double-butted cro-mo fork. It’s rigged with the Shimano Tiagra 10 speed groupset, with a compact chainring and 12-28t cassette. Rims are Alex XD-lite 32 hole equipped with Contintenal Cyclocross race tyres and are linked to Avid BB7 160mm brakes. Colorway is a gloss deep slate, a change from the white frame sold in 2012. Sizing is 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60cm and pricing is £1149.99 for the full build, £374.99 for just frame and fork.
