Just after Campagnolo’s star studded 80th anniversary gala, the news comes that Ridley is joining in on the celebration with a limited run of Helium SLs. Built with the limited edition Campagnolo 80th Anniversary Super Record Collection, only 80 of the Helium Special edition bikes will be built. Designed with a complimentary stealthy paint job with matching red accents, the bike is certainly appealing. The price? The whole bike will set you back a cool 8,999 Euro, or about $11,680.

Detail shots and specs next.

Ridley has a compact crank problem. Even the Noah has those godawful things.

@Markus; nobody buying this bike is buying it to race. This is a MAMIL bike.

A bike built around a groupset. Now there’s a change. But i must say, she’s quite a beauty.

I just can’t get into the 80th Anni stuff. Campy’s graphics are usually sharp, but these look super cheesy to me.

Nick-Lest we forget, those are the people that keep the high end companies in business.

Yep, another black w/ red accents bike.
Costs 4X my first car. About 10X first race bike.

Note that cranks can be changed. If someone encounters difficulty doing so, they can go to an LBS and have it done for them.

“8,999 Euro”
Most keyboards can produce the euro sign nowadays.

@Pancakes
If halo groupsets are what keep manufacturers going, why do they bother with the mass market? Does seeing the same brand on a € 800 entry-level machine as on one’s € 9,000 super-bike confer some kind of prestige for rich folk?
