SwissStop Black Prince EVO low profile carbon rim brake pads

SwissStop has a new version of their amazing Black Prince brake pad called FlashEvo. It’s the same compound as the FlashPro version we tested last summer, but with a lower profile to help it clear today’s wider rims. It also has a new groove pattern to improve water shedding from the rim.

Check the side-by-side comparison and their new organic pads for Magura’s 2015 disc brake calipers, plus new stuff from Feedback Sports and Seasucker below…

Burning through the individual pads on your new Magura MT7 quad-piston brakes? SwissStop has their new organic Disc 33 pads, which fit the higher end MT7’s individual pads for each piston.

FEEDBACK SPORTS

Feedback-Sports-Velo-Wall-Rack-bicycle-storage01

Feedback’s new Velo Wall Rack 2D uses independently telescoping arms to cradle your bike at an angle that suits your particular room layout. It lets you keep the rear wheel tucked against the wall while pushing the front out just enough for the handlebars to clear the wall, too. Or keep it all pushed out if there’s storage betwixt the frame and wall. Whatever, make it your own. The arms also slide vertically, helping the soft rubber cradles hold frames level despite sloping or oddly shaped top tubes. Just screw it into any wall stud.

The Velo Wall Post is a fold out arm that lets you stack your spare wheels or hang your bike from the saddle. An integrated lock loop (lock not included) lets you secure your valuables. The top side has rubber inserts to prevent scratches.

If you’re in need of “precision bottle opening” look no further than their new nickel-finish clamp-on bottle opener. It slides onto any of their premium work stands and, well, opens bottles.

All three will be available in January 2015, prices TBA.

SEASUCKER

Seasucker’s suction cup bike racks have caught eyes from day one, thanks somewhat to the parlor trick of hanging one on the side windows of a car at shows so the bike sticks straight out from the side. Now, they’re testing a premium alloy-framed version that folds open to hold a single bike. Hinged in the center, just below the lower suction cups, it folds down to an extremely small footprint, fitting virtually anywhere in your car when not in use.

It’s a prototype for now, so no pricing or other details, but we like the high end look and feel.

So is this the signature brake pad of the artist formerly known as “The Artist Formerly Known As Prince”, AKA Prince?

Dig that Seasucker, but their racks already pricey. They’re current solo rack is $270.

I wish feed back had made that 2d wall rack when I bought mine. I just use it to display a frame, so the current one sits pretty far from the wall. Looks like I’ll be buying a new one!

Looks like the disc 32s fit SRAM HydroRs and are a sintered compound! I will likely end up with a set when I burn through the short-timer sram organic pads that are the only option QBP has.

@mudrock – you are correct on how much it costs, but it’s cheaper than a yakima or thule by the time you ad towers, trays and what ever else.
An added benefit I found was it actually saved me money because I can take it off and put it on our other car without buying anything else. So it’s really less expensive.
That new aluminum rack looks pretty cool. Release date?
