Jones Bikes, makers of imaginative and unique bicycles and components, has announced the pricing and availability of their new 29+ bike, as well as Carbon and Alloy H-Bars.

We caught up with Jeff at Interbike and saw the new 29+ model, a special frame designed around 29×3.0 tires. The new bars have been rumored to be coming since the middle of summer, and now we have the info! Ride past the break to grab hold of the details…

Jones Plus

The Jones Plus is the first Jones specifically built around the 29+ wheel size, but can also take standard 29er wheels and tires.  Jeff clearly understands geometry, and the ways that the different diameter tires can have an effect on this by changing BB height, and his Eccentric Bottom Bracket (EBB) system is designed to help keep the proper BB height when you change wheels around.

The Plus will be available around February 15th for the 24″ and March 15th for the 25″.  Jones Bikes are sized by top tube length, and those two sizes are equivalent to a Medium and a Large size 29er.  The price will be $1,350 including a Steel Truss fork, front axle and EBB.  It is available in black or blue.

The Carbon H-Bar has been highly anticipated due to it’s ability to save a large amount of weight from this style of handlebar. Weighing just 275 grams, that’s an almost 50% reduction of weight from an aluminum version. Available in the Loop and Cut versions, both will be $295. The Loop will be available on November 10th, and the Cut will be available on January 30th.

There are also updates to the Aluminum H-Bar, with a 710mm width Cut H-Bar for $125 and a 710mm width Bend H-Bar for $85, both available for sale on November 10th

Padrote and Epic, Try the 710’s sometime. I switched from 765 risers to the 710 jones, and they feel identical. Touchdown point of the wrist to the hand moves outboard as you rotate around the heal of the hand. Many who have ridden my bikes with Jones Bars comment on how ‘wide’ my bars are.
