It’s been 10 years since Gary Vasconi and Robert Carbone launched their little clothing brand out of the Bay Area. Their selection and line have drastically expanded since those early days, but one thing remains the same – for Robert and Gary to be happy, the stuff has to work. While comfort, fit, and moisture management have always been key elements to the design, Gary pointed out that as a family man getting home safely is just as important, likely more important than staying comfortable.

New for 2015, the Capo Super Corsa SL will provide plenty of reflective power when it’s too warm out for a jacket. As Capo put it, this is the jersey for those early morning rides in warmer climates where it can still be 80ºF even though it’s still dark out. Of course, the luminescent sleeves, shoulders, and pockets work in the daylight too. Cut from their speed fabric, the Super Corsa SL jersey will match the new bib short in their custom line with a base price of $95 for the jersey and $110 for the shorts.
Already in the line up for Fall 2014, the Padrone HIVIS jacket is made almost entirely of reflective fabric with a waterproof membrane to keep you dry and safe. The all season jacket sells for $349 with a similar vest selling for $269.
Staying on the 360º visibility theme, Capo will also be offering a new wind vest in June that is 100% reflective.
Similar to what we’ve seen from other companies like Pactimo, many of the 2015 shorts and jerseys from Capo will include fully reflective compression grippers. In total, Capo will have 15 luminescent products by mid June including new Roubaix arm and leg warmers. As the Pedaler’s Fork kit would imply, a large portion of Capo’s sales are devoted to their custom program. Completely made in Italy, their custom apparel is the choice for a number of bike shops and pro teams like including Clif Bar, Santa Cruz, and well, Pedaler’s Fork. Offering 3 levels of custom apparel, all the kits use their ETI elastic interface chamois. Along with the Super Corsa SL kit, Capo is also adding a Super Corsa jersey to their custom choices for 2015 as well as a new online ordering tool.
Admittedly, Capo is probably better known for their kits and custom apparel, but that doesn’t stop them from producing a full range of impressive Purpose Built Clothing. From shoe covers to winter gloves, tights, jackets, and everything in between, this is the gear for when you have to ride. Additions for 2015 will include the aforementioned wind vest, RoubaiX Arm and LeG Warmers, new socks and lifestyle pieces, and a new Lombardia DWR Rain Knicker.
