Spotted on Greg Minnaar’s Instagram feed, this highly polished looking version of the upcoming Fox DHX2 coil shock suggests its well on its way to being final. It’s also showing a very cool orange color for the spring, which should match up nicely with their heritage graphics (and hopefully be available in a more muted tone, too).
Previously, we’d spotted more subdued prototypes that provided clues as to what the new shock will do. The two chambers at the top are the damping circuits, one each for rebound and compression. Inside, it’s likely there are separate circuits for both high and low speed, and independent adjustments for each a la Cane Creek Double Barrel are on the ends facing away from us in this pic.
We’ve reached out to Fox for comment and to see if there’s an official launch planned for Crankworx Rotorua, which starts March 25, or if we’ll have to wait for Sea Otter or beyond. Updates as we get them.
