Fezzari Cascade Peak 27.5+ full suspension mountain bike

Cascade Peak 27.5+ full suspension goes big all the way around, with Boost 148 rear spacing and 110mm axle spacing up front, 120mm of travel (that’s 20mm more than the 29er Cascade Peak) and the upcoming Maxxis Chronicle 27.5 x 3.0 that’ll be out by summer.

This one was built up just for Sea Otter and doesn’t represent production spec. It will get the new XT 1×11 when it ships, not the SRAM group shown here, and have WTB Scraper rims.

Max frame clearance is for 27.5 x 3.0 tires, or you can run it as a 29 x 2.25 on XC days.

The derailleur hanger is a bolt-on piece that puts the threads in the hanger, not the frame, helping protect the frame from crash damage in more ways than one. Retail for the complete bike will be $2,799.

A redesigned Solitude hardtail dropped 180g from frame, switched to 12×142 thru axle and full internal routing with Di2 and Side Swing front derailleur compatibility.

They took lessons learned from their 2015 CR5 road bike and used a lot of those same fiber layups, particularly in the downtube, to improve power transfer. The seatstays get much wider and much thinner, maintaining lateral stiffness while improving comfort.

Available in both 27.5″ (16/18 frame sizes) and 29er (16/18/20).

For MY2016, all road carbon frames will have internal routing and Di2 compatibility. The Foré CR1/2/3 all get taller head tubes for a more upright riding position. Frames drop about 130g but have a larger diameter downtube to make it stiffer. All carbon road bikes also gain a new size within their range, creating narrower gaps between sizes, to help them fit more riders.

The Foré CR4 Road Disc goes into production with thru axle front and rear. Get a fully built bike with a Shimano Ultegra hydraulic group and Reynolds Stratus wheels for $3,199, or swap parts if you want to build it to your own spec. Once ordered, it’s completely built up before it ships to you, leaving you with minimal assembly before you head out for your first ride. For a bike with internally routed hydraulic brake lines, that’s a big plus when ordering direct from the manufacturer.

Not shown, the Foré CR5 is their top model and has an 890g frame. It resembles the other CR models, but it has totally separate molds.

We reviewed the Foré Cyx cyclocross bike recently and really enjoyed it. Our test bike was equipped with a 2×11 Ultegra group, but the top model gets the full SRAM CX1 build. There were murmurs that the Stan’s Grail ‘cross wheels might see some minor tweaks, hopefully to address the flat spotting issues we experienced during normal race use.

Gotta laugh at the fork pic. First time bike builder?

(Zip tie instead of using the clean looking guide just 1″ away on the fork, and running the hose outside of the fork leg?)
