Coming in even lighter than their SL hubs, the new Carbon-Ti X-Hub SP (for Straight Pull) expand the range to cover all XC to all-mountain axle standards…including newcomers like RS-1 forks and Boost.

Same internals as the original SL models that use J-bend spoke flanges, but it’s much more machined, taking 3x as long to make as the SL to manufacture the shell. Shell material is 7075-T6 alloy rolling on ABEC5 sealed bearings and they’re 100% made in Italy.

Retail for the hubset will be about €650 (VAT included). In the U.S., get ’em through Fair Wheel Bikes, price TBD.

The SP hubs keep their clever (and very easy to use) knurled bearing preload adjuster. Just turn it as indicated to change the preload.

The RS-1 option should be one of the lightest hubs for Rockshox’s inverted fork.

The X-Hub SP Road brings disc brake compatibility to the pavement, too. All options and weights are:

  • Road: 95g front / 185g rear
  • MTB QR15 front: 91g
  • MTB 12×142 rear w/ XD driver: 185g
  • RS-1 front: 112g
  • Boost 110 front: 95g
  • Boost 148 rear w/ XD driver: 188g

Their X-Rotor SteelCarbon 2 disc brake rotors with carbon carriers now come in a 180mm size, too. Weight is just 94g, and it joins the 160mm (78g) and 140mm (65g).

Their O-SyncroCam multi-ovalized chainrings mimic Osymmetric’s shapes, but in titanium, which they say lasts 3x longer than alloy chainrings.

Those will get new sizes and, along with upcoming 96BCD for current generation Shimano XTR chainrings, use their minimalist narrow/wide tooth pattern.

I am not sure I can buy 7075-T6 aluminum alloy hub from a company named Carbon-Ti

What’s the point in calling your company Ti – Carbon if the hubs have neither of the above actually in them? If that’s the case then it would of been cooler to call your company “Unicorn Farts and Troll Pubes.”

I’d been wondering why I hadn’t seen carbon carriers in rotors… I’m not willing to pony the 200 euros (per rotor) to find out how truthful the claimed weight is.

The comments above are clueless. Carbon-ti is most likely the best lightweight components maker. Weight is accurate. Hubs and other designs have been copied by many. Look at xco World Cup bikes… Very well respected company in the real world that matters.

I remember Carbon-Ti from 10 years ago when about all they made were chainrings. Chainrings that were Carbon bodies with Titanium teeth. That’s where the name came from.

I have a set of the rotors on my cx bike and the weights are spot on, my 140 is 66.9 grams and the 160 is 78.2 grams. There are other rotors out there that hit those weights and at a much lower price, but the Carbon-Ti do while leaving much more fill material in the contact surface of the rotor which makes them much better performers. Looking forward to getting some miles on the new hubs as well.

Really waiting for my 34Tx76 synchrocam chainring, it should be few weeks away…
