Jeff Jones made his mark with his Space Frame years ago and has become a valuable resource to those that want to willingly get lost for a few days. His new Titanium Plus 29er + bike with the Truss fork keeps things comfortable while light and forever lasting.

We first covered the Steel Jones Plus back in March and for 2016 they’ll have a titanium version with most of the same features including Boost 148 spacing, triple water bottle bosses on the downtube, Direct Mount rear derailleur options, and it will now come in size small.
One of the things we noticed poking out of the Jones booth was the new aero bar designed to fit the Jones H Bar. The Gnarwhal is a simple, light weight attachment to aid in giving the rider a more stable hold on the bike when leaning on the bars.
Jeff models it for me saying that it really offers a more comfortable option for someone on a long open path while giving them good steering stability. He’s exploring options for padding making the bar more comfortable for the forearms, but currently simply uses foam piping under the wrap which seemed to work okay.
On the softwoods side, Jones adds the Loop Hole pack to the line. It’s a simple pack that fits nicely within the H Bar with a couple of compartments that are easily accessible with only one hand.
Jones’ new H Grips are silicone a firm EVA foam made specifically to fit his H Bars. Jones says this grip material is nice because they have good grip in both wet and dry conditions while being comfortable as well, and all of this is especially crucial when trying to control a packing bike that is loaded down. They’re also light, at just 75g for the pair with the bar plug ends, which are beveled and shaped to protect the ends of the grips from getting shredded if you gotta lay the bike down.
Jones was also showing several options for what ever configuration you need on the Steel and Ti Plus bikes from simple vertical dropouts, thru-axle, direct mount and singlespeed.
