Trailcraft 104bcd 30-tooth narrow wide chainring

Just a day after introducing new colors on the Trailcraft Pineridge 24 youth mountain bike, the Colorado brand has added 30-tooth narrow wide chainrings as a custom option on the complete bikes and cranksets.

Designed to keep the chain on without any retention mechanism, the tooth profile is 9/10/11 speed compatible to work with any 104bcd crankset. It’s machined from 7075 alloy, weighs in at just 38g and comes in five colors – black, blue, green, orange and pink.

“The reason we decided to make our own 30T narrow-wide chainrings is because they are perfect to help achieve lower gearing on kids bikes,” says Ginger Rosenbauer, Trailcraft’s founder. “We have a custom configuration build model option on our website for the Pineridge 24 that gives you the option to choose your chainring color. The 30T chainrings are also available separately or on our Trailcraft 152mm 1x crankset.”

They mount directly to Trailcraft’s 152mm youth crankset with no spacers to maintain their 50mm chainline. They say it should work with a 100mm to 113mm BB width without messing up the chainline, but if you did need spacers to mount it to your own 104bcd crankset, any spacers will have to be sourced elsewhere.

Ships with the chainring bolts, which thread directly into the chainring.

Complete crankset weight for their alloy square-hole 152mm system with the single chainring and all bolts is 561g. Scrounge up one of those old ti-spindled square bottom brackets and drop some serious poundage from your kids bikes.

Retail for the rings (with four bolts) is $62.99, and the complete crankset with chainring is $130. They’re available now directly through Trailcraft on their own or as part of a complete bike.
