- Maybe you can race the Marblehead Road Race next week with Bkool – The popular New England circuit race is usually a tough season opener with its windy 2.2 mile loop on the coast of Massachusetts. But a freak April snowstorm just downed trees and power lines, forcing the cancellation of the early season race. So indoor simulator Bkool is stepping in to run a virtual race. Join them at noon on April 12 over at Bkool.com for the event from the comfort of home, or ahead of time to virtually preride the loop.
- The Grinduro is coming back this fall to Quincy, California – One of the most fun sounding new events in cycling is returning this fall, brought to you by Giro, Charge, and SRAM. October 8th, 650 riders will get a chance to ride the Grinduro’s mix of neutral dirt and gravel road riding, paired with four hotly contested timed sections of road and trail, and of course a friendly festival atmosphere. Like last year, the total course will clock in at about 60 miles with 8,000-ish feet of climbing. Registration opens next Sunday, April 17, and from the feed back of this past year’s inaugural event, expect it to sell out quick. Full details at Grinduro.com.

- Wheels Manufacturing rolls out Manufacturing Scholarships – Dave and Cindy Batka, owners of Wheels Manufacturing , want to build a pipeline for Colorado’s manufacturing industry by graduating skilled workers from Front Range Community College. So they’ve ponied up $20,000 to the school, half of which will fund new scholarships for students in need pursuing manufacturing degrees and certificates. The other half will establish an endowment to keep scholarships rolling out, and keep manufacturing in Colorado. blog.FrontRange.edu & WheelsMfg.com
