The new Five Ten Freerider EPS (for Elements Primaloft System) get several foot warming measures built in to protect them during the shoulder season. Starting with a Primaloft Gold insulation layer throughout, they’ll have a seamless upper with gusseted tongue to keep water out and a heat reflective layer on the foot bed to keep warmth in. A DWR coating on the outside will shed droplets before they can soak through.
Details on this and the new Danny Macaskill signature series shoes below…
These are preproduction and will see some cosmetic changes. The seams shown here will be on the inside, and colors may change slightly. Brown, black and gray are on tap.
Retail will be $130-$140, available in low and mid heights. The bottom uses their Stealth S1 rubber with a tight dot pattern.
The Danny Macaskill Signature shoe was created because he wanted something that looked casual and hid the performance under the hood. An Eva midsole adds cushion, particularly under the heel.
It also uses Stealth S1 rubber, but on a new outsole that’s spaced the dots wider than their freerider so it’s easier to reposition the foot on the pedal. Retail will be $130 and itll come in five colors.
Both available September 1.
