If you like non-competitive rides for charitable causes, globally renowned touring routes and a healthy dose of exclusivity, the Paris-Modena race would probably be your cup of tea. Roughly 30 riders are gearing up for the 3rd edition of the event, which is scheduled for June 4-9th 2016. In celebration of this year’s ride, main sponsors LOOK and exotic car manufacturer Maserati have collaborated on a limited edition 795 Light Paris-Modena road bike adorned with Maserati’s signature colors and logos. Race participants will be provided with a tuned 795 Light ready to ride, and Paris-Modena apparel to wear.
This ‘race’ isn’t about winning anything really, but instead focuses on the experience and raising money for charity. 600€ from each rider’s registration fee is set aside as a donation (that equates to one euro per kilometer, per rider) to the Association Rêves (Dreams), who help children and teenagers with serious illnesses realize their dreams. Now, let’s take a LOOK at those bikes…
The special 795 Light Paris-Modena wasn’t just created for the competitors – the limited edition bike will be available to consumers in two different component specs and separately as a frameset. The complete bikes both come equipped with HSC7 forks, Aerostem stem, LOOK ADH handlebar, E-post seatpost, and ZED 3 crankset.
The top-tier model features a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset, Mavic Cosmic wheels, and KEO Blade 2 pedals. This stellar steed sells for 9700€ of about $10,900 (prices converted from Euros, tax included).
The high-mid spec model steps things down a bit, but still boasts some quality components like a mechanical Ultegra groupset, Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels, and still KEO Blade 2 pedals. This option sells for slightly more palatable 7350€/$8250.
If you’d prefer to build you own beast, the limited-edition 795 Light will also be sold as a frameset, with the HSC7 fork, Aerostem stem, and ZED 3 crankset for the low, low price of 5600€/$6280.
LOOK is also offering Paris-Modena ProTeam jerseys and bibshorts, so you can flash that ‘pro look’ by showing off all the team sponsors’ logos. The jerseys cost 90€/$100 and the shorts go for 100€/$112.
The limited edition Paris-Modena 2016 bikes and apparel will be available through LOOK dealers as of June 16th. Follow the links below for full details on the 795 Light or the Paris-Modena race.
