Wanting the ability to carry a little more on their rides without busting the seams of their jersey pockets, the folks at Ornot decided it was time for their first bag. Perhaps due to the popularity of bike packing or just the fact that you can fit a decent amount of stuff under your bar, that first bag is a bar bag. But not just any bar bag – working with Rickshaw Bagworks in San Francisco, Ornot’s bag has a unique style befitting of the brand, and even an Instagram holster?
To ensure the bag will hold up to all of your bicycle adventures, the bar bag is crafted from heavy duty, printed nylon canvas and it includes a rigid inner structure so that it isn’t flopping around under the bar when empty. The simple design has two accessory pockets on either side in addition to the main chamber.
Ornot points out that the side pockets were designed to allow quick, one handed access to your “Instacameras and music machines.” If you want faster access to your camera to ‘gram your rides, this may be for you. Of course you could use the pockets for stashing food or other ride essentials, but that won’t get you many likes. Each side has an elastic strap with what looks like a rubber loop up top to strap down your camera or phone and make sure they won’t go bouncing down the road.
If the Plum and teal fade job above is a little too 80’s, Ornot will also offer a little less wild black and teal bag. Both are made in the USA, and will retail for $78.
