K-Edge has seen some major corporate changes lately, with co-founder Eric Jensen buying out Joe Savola and Kristen Armstrong and taking the reins. He’s brought back their sales and marketing man Tim Kelley to keep us all posted on the new goods, too. Kelley left K-Edge a while back to work for one of the larger bike distributors, but when Jensen took over, he came back to help grow the company. And grow they should, with a new $20,000 testing machine that simulates Paris-Roubaix cobbles for thousands of hours, proving that no matter how big or heavy your computer or camera is, their mounts will hold it secure.
Three of the latest to come through “The Shaker” and into their line are the Go Big On-Center mount for GoPro (and other) action cams, plus mounts for two more cycling computers…
The On-Center sticks the camera directly in front of the stem, centering your image and preventing any handlebar sweep from putting a weird lean to your video. It’s available in black, gunmetal and red and retails for $55-$60 depending on whether you want a 31.8mm or 35mm clamp.
The new Wahoo ELEMNT out-front mount was introduced earlier, but now there’s a combo mount that combines the top computer mount with a bottom action cam mount. The lower mount uses a GoPro style system, like the On-Center. Retail for the combo version is $60-$65, available in black only. The standard version comes in black, gunmetal and red and retails for $50-$55.
The new Sigma ROX computer mount also comes in a regular ($45-$50) and combo mount ($65). It’s shown with the ROX 10.0, but will fit any of the ROX series cycling computers from Sigma. 31.8 and 35mm mounting options come in anodized black, red, gunmetal and blue for the standard model. The combo version comes only in black, but will fit either handlebar diameter.
