GoPro has long offered various mounts, but their attachment mechanism has left plenty to be desired. Hence the proliferation of third party options from K-Edge and the like. Now, there are two new ones that may keep customers on brand, plus a backpack made to hold the extra cams you bring along, plus batteries, memory cards and mounts…
The new Pro Handlebar mount doubles as a seatpost or pole mount, giving you a lightweight and minimalist alloy clamp with a bolt-on swivel mount that lets you position the camera 360º around. It’ll fit any round object from 22.2mm to 35mm, which fits any seatpost or handlebar we know of. And, the pivots at the camera’s mount mean you can tuck it in tightly. Retail is $59.99, available end of June.
The Pro Seat Rail Mount comes in at $39.99 and clamps its alloy body to your bike seat’s rails to hold the camera in a rear view position. It’s a single screw mount for quick on and off, plus the camera mounting bolt that lets you set the angle.
Assuming you wanna set up multiple cameras once you’re in the woods (or wherever), the new Seeker backpack holds up to five GoPro cameras in a cozy, padded top compartment with room for a 2L hydration reservoir and various mounts and other gear below it. It also puts a camera mount on the shoulder and incorporates a sleeve for their Extended 3-Way telescoping pole mount for capturing the action from a higher vantage point. Retail is $169.99, available now.
