Feedback Sports has made the workstands that hold your bike while you use other brands’ tools to fix it, but they’re about to give you a nearly complete home workshop solution. Or, at least, an incredibly capable grouping of tools for heading to the trail, race or epic road trip..
The idea was to build kits that really provided only what you needed for fixing things on the road, they told us. So things like cone wrenches and old school crank pullers aren’t in there, but a valve core removal tool is. Shop quality tools mean things are over built, like a rotor truing tool that’s forged rather than stamped. And they’re feature rich, building in some very handy functionality on top of the basics…
At the top of the post is the Team edition tool kit ($249). Directly above is the Ride Prep kit and T-handle set (both $129). The T-handles are made to a bicycle- appropriate length rather than the longer sets made for motorcycle work, and it includes a T25 so you don’t have to buy a complete Torx set just to get the most commonly used size. Team Tinkoff has been using them and provided feedback, leading to an extended 5mm hex section so it would fit into rear derailleur mounting bolts.
Individual tools range from $9 to $40. Hex tools are all S2 steel, which is harder than the commonly found CRV (chrome vanadium) items, and forged pieces are tool steel.
Other smart features include the Shimano crankset “lock ring” tool on the end of a screwdriver…which is perfect because nobody wants to pay for a dedicated tool to do that for home use.
An adjustable locking chain whip wrench also stands out as a great solution, making cassette removal safer and easier.
