This girl’s been gone for a while, but now she’s back and looking better than ever with updated (but subtle) graphics that should match just about any bike. The updated WTB Deva uses the same shape and dimensions as before, so it should feel just as good as you remember it.

It’s available in five models ranging from $39.95 up to $129.95 depending on padding and rail materials. The Team model sits at the top with titanium rails, microfiber cover, soft shell base and DNA padding at 200g. From there it drops down to Pro (chromoly rails, 208g), HP Race (chromoly rails, 267g), ProGel (steel rails, flex tuned shell, gel padding, 291g), and the HP Comp (synthetic cover, steel rails, standard padding, 324g). Designed for women, it has a shorter, narrower profile than their standard saddles, with a bit more padding and rounded nose and tail to make it easier to maneuver around it in the techy sections.

And it’s -ahem- great for anyone with wider sit bones, regardless of gender. I wish we could still get the original Devo and Diva with the low and firm padding, but this is still great news.

^^This. But only because most of their other saddles are too narrow.

I’m not sure why WTB dropped the Deva/Devo platform, but I really hope they bring back the less padded Devo model as well. For men or women with more developed musculature, the firmer version offers great sit bone support that takes the pressure off the tender bits better than any other saddle I’ve tried (and that’s dozens of saddles over 20 years of riding and racing).

If you’re reading this WTB folks, call Velo and get production rolling on Devos as well ASAP!!

The Team and Pro models feature the same low-profile DNA padding that the older Deva/Devos used. It is only the saddles labeled “HP” or “Progel” that will be softer and more padded. There is a race-y Deva!

I bought one of these a few years ago as a new take-off for $12 in a bargain bin and it turned out to be one of the most comfortable saddles I’ve ever had. I got some puzzled looks from my friends when they saw the name, but the ride was comfy enough to make it worth it.
