8bar bikes has been piecing together custom built urban fixies and much more since 2011, with their newest Mitte hitting the popular all-surface gravel segment. And as they get ready to roll into 2017, they’ve revamped their new Berlin showroom and are expanding. With their new shop they are making it easier to get on an 8bar, whether that’s to test ride, or be more hands-on with their customization process. Plus, at the same time they are looking for some new people who want to work in the bike industry, as they grow as a bike producer. Check out the details after the break…

The new Berlin Showroom was set up to make it easier to see with your own eyes what you can get out of their online bike builder. But at the same time they realize the best thing is to get out on the bike before you buy, so now they are offering their bikes for test rides, but also as rentals for anyone who is heading to Berlin and wants to hit the city streets or the nearby trails. We hit the streets and forests of Berlin at least once a year, and there is certainly a wide range of terrain within a quick pedal of the center that is worth exploring.

And if you think spending more than a weekend in Berlin sounds appealing, maybe you’d want to look at working in the bike industry. Granted the positions on offer require German & English language proficiency, so this will limit the number of our readers who should give notice at work before the new year, but 8bar is looking for at least a couple of new staff. Whether you fit the role of Bike Mechanic/Shop Manager or Marketing/PR Manager, 8bar could have a new workplace in mind for you in their new Kreuzberg showroom.

Check them out at: 8bar-bikes.com or look them up when you are in town at: 8bar Showroom, Wrangelstr. 18, 10997 Berlin
