We know they are coming. I even held rim sections in my hand, back at Eurobike. But now, this Safi Works prototype Form G50.1 show bike in the Dresden airport for Bespoked unmasks more concrete details on Hunt’s next aerodynamic gravel bike offering. These Hunt 5AMG Limitless gravel race wheels are the next to get Aero Maxed very soon…
Hunt 5AMG Limitless wide aero gravel rims & carbon spokes

Details are still a bit unofficial, but we do have a better approximation that these new wide aero gravel Hunt Limitless wheels should be coming soon, in October. They feature front- & rear-specific rims – wider & deeper up front where clean airflow aerodynamics matter more, then narrower & slightly shallower out back where Hunt can save weight and improve compliance. And of course, they used the low-density polymer filler Limitless tech in the bead to get wider rims without a lot of extra weight.
Besides the size speculation we made back in July about the wide aero shaping and front- & rear-specific profiles, width & beads… now we have more concrete details thanks to printed-on labeling on these production carbon rims.
So what do we know now?

The new wheels definitely fall in Hunt’s new top-tier Limitless aerodynamic category, with naming printed on that massive ~8-9mm wide front rim bead. 5AMG, meaning 50-ish millimeters deep rims that are Aero Maximised [sic] and of course designed for wide Gravel.

Next, printed on the rim at the spoke bed are rim depth and ETRO width & bead type classifications. There we can confirm that the front is 54mm deep and the rear is 49mm deep. And that they both feature the same 27mm internal Tubeless Straight Side shape, aka a hookless tubeless bead.
Tech Details

- aerodynamic carbon rims made from a mix of hi-mod UD carbon fibers
- plus low-density fiber filler in both front & rear, extra-wide beads
- 54mm deep x ~44.8mm wide front wheel, approximately 8-9mm wide beads
- 49mm deep x ~38.2mm wide rear wheel, approximately 5mm wide beads
- 27mm internal hooked tubeless carbon rims, front & rear
- high-gloss, easy-clean finish

- 20 Ti_UD Vonoa aero bladed carbon spokes with 6AL-4V titanium hardware, front & rear
- conventional bladed stainless steel spoke option will also be available
- hidden internal spoke nipples
- forged & CNC-machined alloy centerlock hubset, with ratchet internals

Safi Works prototype Form G50.1 custom steel gravel bike

“From Madrid workshop roots to Copenhagen engineering, the Form G50 is crafted from custom Columbus tubing with a Safi-developed rear end, progressive long-reach geometry, and 50mm clearance, it balances off-road capability with modern, fully integrated execution.”
– Jaime Pintado Ruiz, aka Jimbo Safi
Safi Works started custom-building steel gravel bikes just 5 years ago, before Jimbo paused the brand a bit to work in product management for first BMC, then PNS. Now that he’s set up a new workshop in Denmark, it looks like Safi Works is back in the framebuilding game. And taking R32.1 road & G50.1 gravel bike pre-orders, with steel framesets starting around 2500€.
The gravel G50.1 officially has 50mm tire clearance, so logically the road R32.1 gets 32mm clearance.
Their proper website is still in development, unless you are already on their early access list. So probably best to reach out via Instagram for the time being.
