2017 Niner IMBA bike giveaway fundraiser

Since 2008, Niner has created numerous a one-off, custom painted IMBA edition mountain bikes that were auctioned off to raise money for the global trail steward. This year, they’re doing something a little different. Rather than make one bike, they’re offering up three complete bikes with their SRAM Eagle 5-star build and six framesets (1 XS, 2 Small, 3 Medium, 2 Large, 1 XL in total, complete bike winners will get to pick their sizes first). More pics and the link to enter below…

While I fully appreciate external cables, and appreciate the difficulty of working out good routing (having had to design routing for a number of frames), I have to say that this is some sloppy/lazy positioning…

Got to love the internet. A company spends time designing custom graphics to support a good cause, donates tons of product for that cause then takes more time to promote the auction and the first comment is whining about cable routing.

I kinda agree with you on the their cable routing. I think Dave Turner does external cable routing best on his bikes and should be an example for others to follow. Other than that, it looks like a nice bike, although I’m not a fan of 29ers.

Fully thing is, you don’t need Full Suspension on any IMBA trails.

Funny, IMBA Trail Solutions is helping with a trail project where I live that’s labeled a black-diamond and is so rocky and technical I am too unskilled to ride it and don’t even like running it. Also funny, IMBA only goes where invited and designs/builds what’s asked of them and what is allowed by the land manager.
