  • Bike the World with New Belgium’s Fat Tire sweepstakes to benefit World Bicycle Relief – New Belgium Brewing and WBR have paired up for the “Bike the World with Fat Tire” sweepstakes, offering three lucky winners (plus one guest each) the chance to head out on their own guided bike tour & Patagonia adventure at the start of next year. The best part (beside the whole advocacy thing) is that New Belgium is putting ALL the proceeds from the sale of 12-packs of their specially marked Bike the World with Fat Tire beer (that’s right, buy a 12 pack to support the cause – life is hard!) to benefit World Bicycle Relief. Open to US residents, to enter you don’t even need to buy any beer, just go to New Belgium’s website to find out more & toss your name in the virtual hat for free. The contest & promotion runs now through Aug 31. NewBelgium.com/BikeTheWorld

Where to ride

  • Join Pole to ride the Levi Enduro 2017, EWS qualifier in Lapland at the end of July – So the long reach trail bike makers at Pole want you to come race with them in the midnight sun in Finland, way north of the Arctic Circle. For the enduro race closest to the North Pole, the Levi Enduro 2017 will take you into the wilderness of Finnish Lapland on July 27-29. The 3rd round of the Finnish Enduro Championship Series, it also happen to be an EWS Qualifier event. The Levi Bike Park has plenty of natural & built-up terrain to test your mettle against the best riders of Finland, with a great atmosphere and epic after-party. Pole promises crazy Finns running naked into the freezing cold river. We would love to head there, you know you do too! MTB-Enduro.fi

Training

  • Sufferfest now available via Fitness On Demand – We seen the growth of the Sufferlandrians’ reach continue to expand as more people take to structured training indoors. The Sufferfest has paired up with Fitness On Demand, one of the companies leading how media & fitness programming make their way into commercial gyms. Now, beyond Sufferfest-based, instructor-led spin classes at your local gym, it should be easier to find Sufferfest content to motivate your time at the gym, on your own time. TheSufferfest.com

Bike BOLO

  • Bahrain Merida team TT bikes stolen in the Netherlands – OK, this is just a public service announcement… Be on the lookout for anyone tooling around on a Bahrain Merida Warp TT bike. Not likely to see some Dutchman commuting on one of these, but this week someone broke into the team truck near Limburg, and made off with 10 pro bikes that the riders needed to race. Grrrr. If you are in the region and spot an out of place Merida Warp TT bike or the one Reacto road bike in Bahrain Merida blue & red team livery, contact the team at info@bahraincyclingteam.com or the local police.
