No problem, at least if you’ve got a Fox fork, now that they’re offering model-specific top cap sockets designed with no lead in chamfer to maximize the contact patch and ensure tight, secure connections. The outside surface is knurled for solid finger contact, too, even if you’ve got a little grease on your tips. Retail is $25 each.
If you’re diving a little deeper down the maintenance rabbit hole, their new Delrin Seal Drivers are designed to push new fork slider seals straight and even. They guide the seal directly into the fork’s body for a quick, perfect install. These run $30 and are offered in four sizes to fit each of their four stanchion diameters.
