Wicks Vision Strips for athletes keep sweat from dripping in eyes during workouts

Developed by a mountain biker from south Florida who was tired of sweat dripping into and stinging his eyes, Wicks Vision Strips are adhesive-backed barriers that redirect sweat away from your eyes. They’re available in three different skin tones to blend in. Or pick from kelly green, maroon, neon blue, neon green, orange, red, pink and yellow if you want to stand out.

They’re made of surgical grade bandage material so they won’t come loose with heavy perspiration. They also won’t absorb your sweat and get heavy like a traditional sweat band can. Retail is $7.99 for 10 pair, available on their website now.

I highly recommend SweatHawg.

Get the ones with velcro. They replace your helmet pads and it’s always there when you need it.

I’m from Florida…can confirm the sweat is unbearable down here…was 97-degrees and 70% humidity today. The reason I started wearing cycling caps is because I got tired of sweat constantly dripping into my sunglasses, which meant I either had to take them off, or clean them every 5 minutes. Cycling caps are a lot more stylish looking than an ugly bandanna. As for these things, I’m not sure they’re going to work with the amount I sweat…

Don’t you have a front pad on your helmet ?

Mine gets saturated and still drips. Same reason I wear cycling caps too. Plus it keeps bugs out of my hair and has a tiny little visor for those early or late commutes/rides. Wool ones work the best for sweat.

When I raced back in Mississippi summers, I’d often wipe some vaseline across my forehead to do exactly the same as these goofy things. Plus, it’s invisible, and you probably already have some…

Yeah, it almost sounds like these came out in 1963. Luckily, if you look on their website you’ll see that they call them “Flesh tone dark”, “Flesh tone medium”, “Flesh tone light”. The weird thing is the ones pictured here on BR look a lot lighter than the light ones on their website. Could just be the way the images were taken, but the “flesh tone light” on their website would only be a fit for some of those deep deep tan white people that are so common in South Florida…but who really cares. They’ll look goofy either way, so you might as well roll with the hot pink or green.

Might want to make an edit on that Bikerumor, the manufacturer labeled it ok, and you made the presumption about skin color. quite a bummer you wrote it up that way.

More disposable products is what this world needs… seriously, what a stupid idea. Cycling cap, as other folks have pointed out.

Urge “Gangsta pad” solved this years ago. Don’t know why other helmet makers didn’t replicate it.

Put some Vaseline or Zinc Oxide in your eyebrows… same effect… no waste and much cheaper.
