When WTB set out to create the new Koda saddle, they had planned on building the best possible women’s specific seat that they could. But just like what happened with their Deva saddle, even though it was intended for women, a number of men find the new saddle comfortable as well.

In order to make a saddle that agreed with the most women possible, they enlisted all the help and feedback of sponsored athletes and riders they could find. The results came back to a shorter nose to tail length, deeper and wider center channel, and medium thickness padding. There’s also a cutout in the shell itself to allow it to flex more for greater comfort. WTB says that their sponsored athletes like Rebecca Rusch and Anneke Beerten are loving the result, but they’ve also found a number of men who find the saddle comfortable as well.

Available in four different models, the Koda Team uses titanium rails, DNA Padding, and is available in two different widths, 142 and 150mm – a first for a WTB women’s saddle. The Team sells for $129.95 and came in at 207g on our scale for the 142mm version. That’s 3g under claimed, while claimed weight for the 150mm version is 223g.

The Koda Pro drops to chromoly rails and DNA padding for $89.95, while the Koda Race does away with the DNA padding in favor of standard foam padding for $59.95.
