JensonUSA bicycle mail order sponsors Bikerumor Interbike 2017 coverage

Continuing to offer more in the way of bike helmets, Bolle was out at Outdoor Demo showing off their latest prototype. Called the Trackdown, the helmet looks like a big step forward for Bolle in terms of looks – but also performance and features.

To be available in both MIPS and non-MIPS versions, the helmet has a 360º dial retention system for one handed adjustments.

With Bolle being an eyewear company as well, it makes sense that the helmet would have integration for your favorite pair of shades. The visor has three position and is adjustable on the fly, and almost any pair of sunglasses should be able to be stashed either above or below the visor depending on the position. If you’re running goggles, there should be enough room to stash them under the visor when it’s in the highest position as well.

Still in the prototype phase, the high end Trackdown helmets will ship with a ‘Weather Kit’ which consists of two pods that will seal up the top four chimney vents. The helmets will have in-molded plastic rings that the pods will clip into, making installation and removal a breeze while on the trail.

We’re told that the weights of these prototypes will be very close to production, with the MIPS version at 386g, and the non-MIPS at 358g.

Expect about 8 colors with specific colors for MIPS and non-MIPS versions, and pricing of $169 and $139 respectively.
