It’s been a while since we last saw one of the cycling art prints from Thomas Yang’s 100Copies series. Now he’s back with #39 ‘The Ascent’ meant to evoke the feeling of climbing through mountain strata by bike.

100Copies #39 The Ascent limited edition art print

“You pedal, you push, you pant, you press on,
you never stop until you are at the peak.
You ride higher, live louder, laugh harder, dream bigger.
Your life takes you from one adventure to another.”

To create the strata, Yang cobbled together a 50cm long paint brush to trace the fluid lines in a single broad stroke, before cutting out each tower.

Like the rest of his limited edition series, The Ascent is available as a hand-numbered offset lithograph print out of the total 100 piece run. The 84 x 46cm (33 x 18″) print on 220g Maple Snow paper sells for $90, plus global shipping.
