The Bluegrass Legit is a new €200 full face helmet that brings more ventilation and space to the segment while offering a reasonable price point. For the unfamiliar, Bluegrass it’s a sister brand to MET, marketed more as their gravity brand with body protection and bigger helmets, but sharing the same development team.
For the Legit, they worked with Norco team to develop it, ensuring it had pro-level features. These include a taller chin guard with more room inside so it’s more comfortable.
It has bigger and more venting, with internal channels to move more air through it. They even add vents near the ears to help you hear better, which also has they added benefit of reducing that claustrophobic feeling you can get with some helmets.
The visor is completely flexible, so it won’t get damaged in a crash, but more importantly, it won’t cause your helmet to twist in a wreck, so it’s safer. It also flips up, and can break away completely if necessary, so it won’t impact your, um, impact.
There’s five effective sizes thanks to two different shell sizes, with three EPS internal sizes and different padding sizes. All pads are removable for easy washing. Claimed weight is 1,100g (size M), available September.
