Continuing their 20 year history of making and improving wind-cheating components, Vision has some big updates for the coming season. Likely the most welcomed is the move to a tubeless ready system for all of their high end and some mid level wheels. That should be good news for riders who don’t want to deal with tubular hassles, but still want improved ride quality and increased flat protection.

At the highest end, the Metron SL carbon clinchers all receive the new TLR options from the  30mm to the full 81mm deep rim. Sold as tubeless ready, the rims are compatible with either standard tubes and tires, or with tubeless tires with the included rim tape and valves and additional sealant. Internal width of all the Metron SL clinchers is 19mm, and the wheels are also all available in rim or disc brake models.

The new TLR system even extends to their Metron 3 Spoke front, and full aero Metron Disc rear wheel.

Dropping down to the Trimax Carbon series, here only the Trimax Carbon 40 CSI Disc wheel gets the TLR treatment. CSI is their carbon/alloy rim design, and the 40mm version is the only tubeless option at 1,750g per set.

In the shallower Trimax alloy series, a few wheels get the tubeless bump including the stealthy Trimax 25 KB. Not only does the wheelset run different profile tubeless ready rims front and rear with interspoke milling to remove weight where it’s not needed, but they also see a P.E.O. surface treatment from Keronite which gives them their durable matte grey look.

Tubeless ready Trimax wheels are also available in the Trimax 30 KB, Trimax 30, and Trimax 30 Disc brake to round out the line.

In other news from Vision, the company will soon be offering a compact chainring version of their aero crankset. That will give riders the choice of 52/36 or 50/34 gearing while keeping that aero edge.

Finally, Vision continues to expand their cockpit range with varying levels of integration. At the top end (above middle), the Metron 6D bar includes an integrated Di2 junction box compartment, wiring ports and an integrated Garmin mount. The Metron 5D loses the Di2 junction box compartment but keeps Di2 compatibility with larger internal cable tunnels and a more universal computer mount. While the Metron 4D flat bar provides an aero, clip on compatible bar that’s compatible with standard 31.8mm stems.
