Throwing it way back to the days of metal bottles with cork caps, the Campagnolo branded vintage bottle looks to be a co-branded Eroica Alu bottle from Elite. That should mean it will be a great fit in the Eroica Bottle cages from Elite if you want to take it with you on your vintage ride. Or, just carry it around the office while you sip from the 600ml capacity.

Crafted from aluminum with a satin finish, the bottle claims to have an internal finish treatment to allow it to comply with both European CE and the U.S. FDA requirements. The aluminum construction lends to light weight of 120g, and the cork top is leashed with its own string to keep you from losing it.

All that style doesn’t come cheap at € 34,90 (not including shipping), but if you consider yourself a Campagnolo hype beast, it will probably be an easy add to the collection.

  1. the bike industry never ceases to amaze me in its ability to out (deleted) itself. I will wait for the $149 Ti version. Aluminum is for peasants.

  2. The bottle looks great but the material should be stainless steel! Aluminum (without coating) can cause Alzheimer’s disease, some people who have kidney disease store a lot of aluminum in their bodies. The kidney disease causes less aluminum to be removed from the body in the urine. Sometimes, these people developed bone or brain diseases that doctors think were caused by the excess aluminum. That’s why European CE and the U.S. FDA insist on the coating of the bottle.
I use stainless steel bottles for my ride, on longer rides one single wall and one double wall thermos bottle for Hot and Cold drinks. I don’t use plastic bottles, your taste buds will tell you why.

  3. As usual, Campy takes 7 years to catch up with the trends. L’Eroica died when Brooks bought it. The string they used is horrible and synthetic. They could have used some natural materials. Makes the whole thing look like a cheap party favour.
