I used to ride this bit in the ’80s, when it required hopping a few fences. Swift ride over the hill to the 1, up to Pirate’s Cove for bouldering, back via MacArthur. Happy that at least some of the Ranch didn’t get turned into suburbia.

Thanks for sharing that story from the past. It was illegal until just after I moved to the area in 2010. If you look closely, you can see a house to the left of the sunrise – Shady Canyon multi-million home. It’s nice having this available to ride and enjoy amidst the hustle and bustle of SoCal suburbia.
