For a relatively new company, EXEPT is already offering some impressive tech in the form of their custom road bikes. Of course it helps when the company co-founders already have a substantial amount of combined industry experience – which shows in the final product. Formally introduced at Eurobike 2018, EXEPT’s bikes rely on a unique production method that allows for a monocoque front triangle that also allows for custom geometry and even custom layup.

The resulting builds are visually stunning, but also seem to have an equally impressive ride quality (based on Tyler’s initial impressions). Now, with the brand aiming towards their entry into the North American market, they’re hoping to answer any of your questions for our next AASQ installment.

EXEPT is the only brand making custom frames in monocoque production technique. The process is based on a patented process of us. Frames are 100% made in Italy. We combine the advantages of a custom geometry in terms of bike fit and riding style with the performance advantage of a monocoque structure. EXEPT was launched to the public last years Eurobike.

We believe that only a perfectly fitting bike – reach and stack – , in combination with the matching riding style – race or endurance style adjusted with fork trail, chain stay length and frame angles – , executed in a performance structure – engineered monocoque structure with ply-book, state of the art simulation and testing – can deliver the best bike. We would like to discuss why all three matter, how they relate to each other and any particular interest how EXEPT is doing things. – Exept

Your questions will primarily be answered by EXEPT co-founder and Head of R&D Alessandro Giusto, and their head of Sale, Marketing, and Communications, Wolfgang Turainsky. As usual, submit your questions through THIS LINK, and we’ll dive into the answers next week!
