Last spring the folks at 76 Projects showed a small waterproof tool & tube pack that tucked under a water bottle cage. Now they are back with a simplified, open strap version – the Little Piggy, which can mount to any set of bottle bosses, or directly on any spot on your bike where there is a frame tube & empty space. Plus, they have a tiny new roll top dry bag that fits on their Piggy mounts protecting more precious cargo.

The original Piggy was cool for taking advantage of space under a bottle cage, but the new Little Piggy might be even more convenient because it can be tucked into more possible free spaces on your frame, with bottle bosses or not. The way it works is simple, the Little Piggy uses a small plastic cage platform that mounts to your bike, and a wide stretchy velcro strap secures a tube, a tool & maybe a CO2 into place.

If you have free bottle bosses, bolt the Little Piggy in place…

…add a tube & tool, and away you go.

If you don’t have free bosses, or are trying to tuck a tube into a tighter crevice on your bike (think: under a shock or next to a suspension linkage) pop the two silicone grommets into the water bottle bolt holes, and secure the Little Piggy base around your frame tube with the included rubberized velcro strap. Then you are free to strap a tube & tool in place, and ride on.

Sizewise, 76 Projects says the Little Piggy strap will fit a& securely hold a 29er tube, CO2, a pair of levers, a multi-tool, plus a tubeless plug kit or whatever other similarly small ride essentials you need. It even includes a built-in recess in the middle to snap-in a quick-link for your chain. Keeping it all together, when you buy one, they also throw in another silicone band to keep things together when you pull the kit off your bike.

The new Little Piggy is said to weigh just 50g with all the fixins, and sells for £25 (~$33/30€). If you want to add the same nylon pouch from the original Piggy, that will add an extra £14.5.

If a strap or a simple bag won’t keep your kit protected enough for your wet riding, 76 Projects now has a new Piggy Dry Bag too. Compatible with mounts on either the original Piggy or this new Little Piggy, it is a custom-made tiny seam-sealed dry bag with a buckle top. Carrying capacity is from 0.65L to a max of 0.95L, essentially sized to carry the same tube & tool gear combos.

The Piggy Dry Bag sells for only £10 on its own, or adds just £7.50 if you get it together with the Little Piggy.
