Race Face doesn’t want you to get left out of the pedal party, introducing a new entry flat pedal – the Ride. With a nylon composite body, nine color options, and a sub-$40 price point, they’re aiming to spread the flat pedal love. In addition, Race Face updated their existing Chester model for improved traction, along with extra color options of its own.
Race Face Ride and Chester flat MTB pedals
Race Face is established in the flat pedal game, and we’ve reviewed some of their goods in the past. However, they were missing a solid contender in the lower-priced market, which has been solved by the new Ride pedal. With a concave nylon composite body and molded-in traction pins, it promises to keep your feet (and shins) happy – with (semi) graphic evidence shown in the video below.
The Ride pedal uses a Cro-Mo steel axle with standard 9/16 thread, along with serviceable internal parts. The platform size is 110x101mm, with weight coming in at 320g per per. Height is 15 – 18.4mm, with 18 molded pins per pedal.
