Italian frame builder Officina Battaglin just added a super limited offer to subscribers this week, adding up a discounted bundle of their made-to-order custom Power+ Disc steel road bike, a set of Deda Elementi carbon clinchers & a full Deda finishing kit. If you have been considering getting a disc brake steel road bike, maybe this is the motivation you needed to go for it.
Battaglin Power+ Disc & Deda Elementi SL 45 Disc bundle
Battaglin’s limited number bundle combines their steel Power+ Disc frameset, carbon Deda Elementi SL45 DB wheels, an alloy Deda bar, alloy stem & carbon post, plus free shipping for 3197€ – just 500€ over the custom frame price alone.
We’ve already covered the Battaglin Power+ Disc frameset last spring. It is a thoroughly modern, fillet-brazed oversized Columbus Spirit steel road bike, made by hand one-at-a-time to your custom geometry in Officina Battaglin’s workshop in Norther Italy. Giro-Vuelta winner Giovanni Battaglin will even consult with you to dial in the perfect custom geometry for you. That base frameset sells for 2690€ ($3340).
But the limited offer throws in a set of Deda Elementi SL45 DB carbon clincher wheels that brand manager Alex Battaglin loves for a mix of comfort, performance & Italian style. The claimed 1540g tubeless-ready carbon wheels have an 18mm internal width (25mm external), are 45mm deep, feature 12mm thru-axles, centerlock rotor mounts, and are available with Shimano or Campy freehubs. The wheels themselves retail for 1280€.
Looking at the rest of the components in the kit, you get a 7075 alloy Deda Elementi Zero100 RHM handlebar, a matching forged 2014 aluminum Zero100 stem, and the new UD carbon, two-bolt SuperZero setback seatpost. Retail value for the finishing kit is another 285€. Add in free global shipping, and that knocks another 200€ off the regular price.
The trick to the special deal is that it is only available to subscribers, and there will be only 7 special kits sold. That means if you are in the market for a custom Itlaina steel road bike you need to act fast.
