The Belgian Waffle Ride is one of the most popular ultra-distance, mixed surface cycling races. The San Diego-based event features about 140 miles of pain, with 12,000 ft of elevation gain and 1/3rd of its distance unpaved (shorter options are available, too). For 2020, BWR announced a major expansion, adding two all-new races.

Both new events aim to mimic the difficulty of the original, while relying on the natural features of each area. If you’re not sure what’s in store for you, this recap of the 2019 event should give you a good idea…

Registration for both events will open on February 18, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific – and they expect to sell out in minutes. The original San Diego event will be held on May 3rd, 2020. For detailed course information and online registration, check out the link below.

Two new events! But we can’t be bothered to provide dates or specific locations. Thanks for something? At least it isn’t another post about a !@#$ing e-bike.

Looks like Aug. 30 2020 for Asheville, NC and Oct. 17 in Cedar City, UT – it’s all right there in the post?
