Bummed that your Dirt Fest tickets got dropped off the back of Dirt Rag’s closure? Fret no more, both the Pennsylvania and West Virginia events are back, they’re just going to be called something else. Both events have new owners and will no longer be related, giving each a reboot with that’ll likely give each it’s own personality. Here’s the details…
Bike Bash at Big Bear, WV
PRESS RELEASE: Dirt Rag Dirt Fest WV is now under new ownership and will be moving forward as the Bike Bash at Big Bear West Virginia. They are looking forward to another awesome festival weekend.
The event features an amazing trail-network, campfires, group rides, shuttle service, bands, family-friendly activities. The expo will offer bike and gear demos and product sampling opportunities. Attendees can expect a welcoming vibe true to Wild Wonderful West Virginia with trails that will provide thrills for all skill levels and views that can’t be beat.
Join the fun and let your customers demo the latest bike technology, get up close and personal with new products, or if they’re curious – try an electric mountain bike. Raystown Bike Fest, PA
PRESS RELEASE: We are happy to announce that the Friends of Raystown Lake is launching Raystown Bike Fest, picking up the Dirt Fest Pennsylvania torch with the new event on the same weekend, May 15-17, 2020.
Dirt Fest PA has been a big fundraiser for the Allegrippis Trail network and a way to bring the bike community together, so it is with a happy heart we announce that Raystown Bike Fest will make fundraising for the trail network its main focus.
Over the 9 years that the event has been held, Dirt Rag was able to donate over 80,000 dollars to The Friends of Raystown Lake. As Dirt Rag, and subsequently Dirt Fest, was coming to a close, one of the main concerns was that this vital fundraising might also come to an end.
Raystown Bike Fest will be capping attendance at just over 800 this first year with the goal of having a small grassroots event similar to Dirt Fests of old. In addition, all attendees who pre-registered for Dirt Fest PA 2020 will receive a voucher good for their purchased pass and camping accommodations.
We also have a list of vendors who are attending and we really appreciate their support towards the event and the attendees who want to interact with brands.

Raystown Bike Fest is working with 10-year veteran, Dirt Rag Sales Manager/Events Coordinator Trina Haynes, “ I am really excited to see this happen. I was really worried about the fundraising for the trails, and with the loss of NembaFest this year, the east coast losing another mountain bike event just wasn’t an option. We had to find a way to keep this event alive. It’s an amazing location, a fantastic trail team, and the attendees are so dedicated to coming, riding and having a great time.”
