Integrated tools are nice, but integrated bags let you carry any tools you want. They also allow for you to carry other things, like snacks, beverages, and your face mask. Along those lines, Ibis has just unveiled their new vegan Bone-In Pork Chop (frame bag).
Having some fun with the name, the new Pork Chops are vegan due to their 210 ripstop ballistic nylon construction. The padded bags feature a water resistant zipper for easy access while keeping your gear dry. Inside, there is also internal storage and elastic webbing to keep CO2 cartridges and tools from bouncing around inside.
The Bone-In part of the name comes from the clever way they attach to your bike. Instead of straps or bolt-ons, the Pork Chop wedges into the front triangle and uses a rigid ‘bone’ which rests on the shoulders of the front shock mount to lock it in place.
Available to fit the new Ripley 4, Ripmo, Ripmo AF, and Ripmo 2, there are three bag sizes that you’ll need to choose from based on your frame size. Note that the two asterisks on the Ripmo 2 indicate the need for a different bracket – bracket ‘B’. Each bag will come with the correct bracket, so just make sure you order the #4B bag if you have a LG/XL Ripmo 2.
