The upcoming Thule Tepui Foothill uses their fold-open design to create a spacious two-person car-top tent with just half the roof space. Leaving room up top for a cargo box or a couple bikes, the Foothill is the most compact roof-top tent yet.
The Foothill’s low-profile, symmetrical design allows it to mount on either side of your vehicle. And, at just 110lbs, could even be installed solo by some folks, making it much easier to remove between uses to improve fuel economy.
The design sleeps two adults, using a flip-open design and telescopic internal frame poles for easy, one-person setup and breakdown. It also sits lower and slimmer than their larger 4 person tents, so it’ll drive a little better even if you just leave it on year-round. And with a UV and mold-resistant cover, you could leave it up there quite a bit.
