Crankbrothers is calling all local mountain bike riders & racers to become a part of their Synthesis Privateer squad. They say as a brand, crankbrothers wants to do more to support the hard work of grassroots riders and racers banging away on their local scene and are actively promoting the growth of mountain biking in their communities.
Become a part of the Crankbrothers Synthesis Privateer Program
The general idea is to help non-sponsored riders afford more of the gear that team riders take for granted. That means a heavily discounted purchase program for crankbrothers aluminum & carbon Synthesis wheels to those who meet the brand ambassador requirements. Basically, all you need to qualify is to race actively throughout the year in any mountain bike discipline XC-DH, whether that’s on local, regional, or international start lines.
Head over to the Synthesis Privateer Program page for a few more details, and a simple nine question online application.
Crankbrothers Stamp 7 platform pedals go Electric Blue
There’s now a shiny new Electric Blue color added to crankbrothers’ long-running size-specific Stamp 7 platform pedals. Just one more chance to add a little splash of color-coordinated ano bling to your gravity bike.
As always the premium $160 Stamp 7 flat pedals are offered in two sizes. Crankbrothers says the 100x100mm Small pedal (345g/pair) is best suited for riders with shoe sizes from 5-10 US / 37-43 EU. And the 114x111mm Large pedals (375g/pair) are better suited for riders with shoes from 10-15 US / 43-49 EU.
Either size you pick features the same concave 11-13mm thick forged & machined 6061 alloy pedal body, with 10 adjustable traction pins per side, and spins on Igus LL-glide bushings around forged 435 chromoly steel axles. The Stamp & is user-serviceable, and comes with a 5 year warranty.
