Dig the styling of the new Adidas “Road Cycling Shoes,” but looking for something a little more… casual? It doesn’t get much more classic Adidas than their Samba. And now, you’ll be able to take to the streets in the Velosamba – that’s an SPD compatible Samba, of course.
From the side, it would be easy to mistake the Velosamba for one of the millions of Sambas out there. Which is the point. The shoe features a coated leather upper with the three classic stripes, only this time they’re reflective along with the “blinker” at the back of the shoe.
The ‘Velosamba’ on the side gives it away, but if you look underneath you’ll find a cycling specific sole that makes these shoes unique. Under a rubber outsole, there’s a full-length reinforced plate attached to an SPD cleat pocket for a shoe that pedals as good at it looks.
