2023 CUBE Stereo ONE mountain bikes

Cube’s revamped Stereo lineup aims to offer a completely comprehensive full-suspension range to suit every mountain biker, from the weekend warrior on local singletrack to the adventurous enduro racer heading into steep & technical alpine terrain. Not all are completely new designs, but all share the same general Horst-link 4-bar design with various rocker layouts, adaptable geometry, and a mixture of carbon & alloy frame constructions.

Cube calls it their “Stereo ONEderland”.

Tech details & What’s new?

The Stereo ONE updates have been trickling out for a while now, but they essentially come down to adding three frame options across the range top C:68X carbon, C:62 carbon & HPA high performance aluminum hydroformed alloy frames. Many of those top-tier C:68X bikes also get a killer transparent paint finish to reveal the carbon fibers underneath.

The newest bikes also add adjustable geometry via flip-chip headsets, which also just so happen to include internal cable routing too. The One77 takes that to another level with adjustable shock mounts to work perfectly with either air or coil shocks, too.

The latest bikes also add new storage inside the downtube, via a door under the main bottle cage mount, plus an extra set of accessory carrier mounts under the back of the toptube, and a move to the UDH mounting standard for your derailleur.

Generally, most of the Stereo ONE bikes are 29ers and come in S-XL sizing, but the One22 & One 44 also add a 27.5″ XS to fit smaller riders too in their C:62 carbon & alloy specs.

Cube Stereo ONE22

The shortest 120mm travel Stereo ONE22 (paired to 130mm forks) is a long-running singletrack-munching downcountry bike for the vast majority of mountain bikers. It also happens to be the one to get the most affordable options, with carbon or hydroformed alloy mainframes paired to alloy rear triangles to suit a wide range of budgets.

Cube Stereo ONE44

The new Stereo ONE44 promises steps it up to more capable aggressive trail performance with 140mm of more progressive rear wheel travel, and 140mm forks. It also gets new, more advanced construction with two levels of full carbon framesets, featuring Cube’s top-tier C:68X carbon layup or their more affordable C:62 carbon. The new technical trail bike adds in-frame storage, under the main bottle cage, a tool-carrier mount under the toptube, and tunable geometry via an adjustable headset that also routes cables internally.

Cube Stereo ONE55

The all-mountain Stereo ONE55 is also all-new, taking pretty much all of the same design adaptations and ratcheting them up one step further with 155mm rear / 160mm front travel and more aggressive enduro-leaning geometry & suspension kinematics. This one only comes in the more affordable C:62 carbon, but gets the same in-frame storage, tool-carrier mount, and adjustable geometry headset with internal cables.

Cube Stereo Hybrid ONE55

Slotting in here next to the all-mountain ONE55 is a new 160mm travel Stereo Hybrid ONE55 eMTB too. Cube calls this an enduro-ready ebike built with their top C:68X carbon and powered by a Bosch CX Smart powertrain with up to 750Wh of internal battery to shuttle you up some of the steepest climbs.

Cube Stereo ONE77

And if you need more travel than any of that, there’s still the Stereo ONE77 enduro bike. Available in top-tier race-ready C:68X carbon or more everyrider affordable HPA hydroformed aluminum you get 170mm of travel front & rear, plus more adjustability. This one gets the adjustable flip-chip-style headset but also an upper shock mount flip-chip paired with two lower shock mount points so you can change the bike’s progression to perfectly match either a coil or air shock.

The 2023 Cube Stereo ONE mountain bike family is now so broad it’s hard to sum it up at once, ranging from just 1999€ for the alloy One22 Pro up to the 7399€ One77 C:68X SLT, plus 7-10k€ eMTB versions in between.
