It’s that time of year when we appreciate pro cycling kit that breaks from the norm to create designs that stand out in the peloton and that fans will actually want to wear. And this latest Rapha kit for the 2025 EF Education First family of women’s, men’s, and developing riders is another great example in classic pink & heritage argyle, with plenty of playful details tucked in between sponsor logos…

Once again the core of the new kit is the classic pink of title sponsor EF – Education First and the perennial highlight color of British cycling kit maker Rapha. And while it isn’t always so prominent, argyle makes a strong return, almost two decades after its origins with the team as Slipstream.

Now though, the diamond pattern of argyle gets accentuated by a smattering of virtual diamond gemstones.

“Diamonds are made under pressure”

“The women and men of EF Pro Cycling are a rare species, forged out of the terrain and the sport they inhabit. Honed by courage and commitment, their brilliance lies in pushing themselves to ride faster, further and higher. Grit turns to glory, calloused hands and scars signal the sacrifice that shapes them.”

EF Pro Cycling again shares that their new 2025 team kit design was created in collaboration with the riders, turning rider input into the little details that might get overlooked at first glance. Icons for these kings and queens of the peloton, and some of their favorite races.

What’s new for Rapha Pro Team in 2025?

It’s the 7th year that Rapha is sponsoring and kitting out the EF Pro Cycling teams, and they are promising a wealth of new Pro Team tech is packed in the new kit.

The new 2025 team short-sleeve aerodynamic jersey that we see the riders modeling in this photoshoot looks to use similarly textured Clima fabric on the sleeve as the current Pro Team Aero Jersey that was updated just last year. But it is missing a shoulder seam from that jersey, suggesting there may be a new cut or new fabric this year.

Olympic Road & Track Team Pursuit Gold medalist Kristen Faulkner’s US National Road Champion jersey also looks to feature a new texture on its sleeves, or maybe it’s just an updated Pro Team Training Jersey. Nice details to note, both Faulkner and men’s fellow US Road Champ Sean Quinn replace tiny diamonds for diamond-cut stars on their national champion jerseys.

Standout upgrades are also said to be fully redesigned “new and improved” Pro Team Bib Shorts, so we’ll keep our eyes out for details on those soon.

While the three EF pro teams – EF Education-EasyPost men, EF Education-Oatly women & EF Education-Avelo development squad – are already training in their new pink argyle kit, you’ll have to wait a bit longer to ride in it, too.

The official Rapha EF Pro Cycling Collection will be available to buy in February 2025. The EF Pro Team lineup will include the new “most comfortable high-performance bibs yet”, plus the latest Aero Jersey, Training Jersey, Base Layers, Pro Team Socks, and off-the-bike kit including a scarf, hoodie, cycling cap & t-shirts.

I like the new kit also. I think what they should do in the Giro, is take a cue from the 80’s-90’s team Once that the team colors were primarily yellow and in the tour they changed the kit to pink so that it wouldn’t interfere with the yellow jersey. EF should consider something similar in the Giro.
