Just weeks after adding another high end build to their line up, 3T is now looking at the other end of the spectrum. Adding to the numerous Exploro build options, the newest version will also be the most affordable.
Called the Pro Rival build, this is the lowest spec Exploro in spite of the “Pro” connotation. Listed as the only build to use the “Exploro Pro” frame, the frame specifics aren’t given. It’s listed as having the same “Unidirectional pre-preg carbon, High-modulus/high-strength performance blend layup” as the Exploro Team frame but we wouldn’t be surprised if the frame uses slightly different grades of carbon fiber. The fork is also listed as a 3T Fango Pro rather than the Team model.
The build also features a more affordable drivetrain with a SRAM Rival1 1×11 group and hydraulic disc brakes. Fulcrum Racing 7 DB 700c wheels with Schwalbe G-one tires let it roll, and a few 3T parts finish the build.
Offered in four sizes, the 3T Exploro Pro Rival will get you into the aero gravel family for $3,599.99. That’s still a lot for an “entry level” bike, but it does manage to drop $500 from the price of the next model up.
