If you want to get into the awesome 6 Hours of Warrior Creek mountain bike race that sold out last year months before the event ever happened, you may wanna sign up today (Friday, October 1). Here’s why, directly from Bum at the BMCC:
While Team Dicky may not be talking about next year, we’ve been planning and you need to be doing the same. The 2011 6WC will be held on April 2, 2011.
We’ve got a few exciting changes that we want you know about. First, the BMCC trail crew has been hard at work all summer on a scenic trail re-route complete with more rocks, more tech, and a new bridge. Second, we have added a duo male 40+ race class. You old guys need to take advantage. Finally, our friends at Bikerumor.com have helped us out with a brand new race website. When you’re done checking out the new race website, click on over to Bikerumor to get your fill of bike porn from the 2010 Interbike trade show.
If that’s not enough, we’re kicking off registration with a 1 day special super low rate. Registration will open at 12:01 AM on October 1 (That’s Friday, the day after Thursday). For 24 hours only, you can race for a mere $40 per person. All you procrastinators out there, remember, this race sold out in February for the 2010 running. We fully expect more of the same for 2011. Now is your chance to secure your spot and save $20 at the same time.
We’ll be updating the race website as new information becomes available and sending an occasional email update. We will respect your inbox. If you have made it onto this email distribution list in error or wish to be removed from the list, please reply and tell us so. We won’t take it personally.
Ooops, did we leave that bit in there about how awesome Bikerumor is? Our bad. Anyway, see you there…Dicky, I’m gunnin’ for you.
