The Danish brand positions this as their training-focused line, built around the flagship PAS Mechanism Rain Jacket that utilizes Pertex Shield Air fabric technology, as well as the PAS Mechanism Deep Winter Long Bibs with integrated thermal grid structures.

Design Philosophy

Pas Normal Studios Autumn:Winter Collection in the mix

Pas Normal Studios continues its approach of combining technical performance with minimalist aesthetics. This new collection is rendered in deep navy with off-white PAS branding – so… maybe a little more visible than the typical black winter kit?

Let’s take a gander.

PAS Mechanism Rain Jacket

Retail: $345

Features:

  • Pertex Shield Air 3-layer fabric construction – waterproof/breathable membrane sandwiched between face fabric and backer
  • C0 DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish – fluorocarbon-free coating meeting current environmental standards
  • 100% polyamide shell material for durability and packability
  • Internally taped seams prevent water penetration at construction joints
  • Two-way waterproof YKK zipper with ventilation capability
  • Race-cut geometry balancing aerodynamics with weather protection

PAS Deep Winter Long Bibs

Retail: $390

For extreme conditions, the Deep Winter Long Bibs integrate a grid-structured thermal fabric as the base layer. Top that off with wind and water-repellent outer panels.

This dual-layer construction creates insulating air pockets while maintaining moisture management. This is perfect for multi-hour training sessions in sub-freezing temperatures. The grid structure increases surface area for moisture transfer while reducing fabric weight compared to solid thermal materials.

Built for Training

Pas Normal Studios Autumn:Winter Collection muggin'

The collection targets the specific demands of structured winter training rather than casual riding. The race fit cut assumes an aggressive riding position. The packable rain jacket design accommodates interval training where riders need to shed and store layers quickly.

For training camp conditions, they offer the PAS Mechanism Pro Bibs and Jersey in both men’s and women’s cuts, focusing on precision tailoring over casual comfort.

I am in the Bay Aera and these kits are everywhere. Funny to me that Pas Normal is the normal kit.
Also, does this article say that this is “ with minimalist aesthetics”? All the photos are not minimal wrt PNS.

I keep wondering why people drive around with “PNS” on their clothes…
– the abbreviation could also stand for something else 😉

Rapha always had style and design flair. This is just expensive and boring.
