Abus’ new entry in its Bordo lock lineup, the 6000K, focuses on easy transport. A saddle mount helps it fit on more bikes than ever before, and lightweight materials plus a new rain cover aim to help riders carry it without worries.

An X-Plus key cylinder, now standard on Abus products, resists tampering. And a new coating helps protect your bike’s paint.

But the new SaddleFix mount is the main event. With it, riders can keep their triangles clear for bottles and batteries in the case of e-bikes. It should especially help anyone with a step-through bike, where frame storage is at a premium. Given that the SaddleFix places the lock directly in the path of spray from the rear tire, Abus also includes a rain cover that should keep it clean.

If storage space is the only reason you’ve held out on an Abus Bordo until now, you’re in business. Abus doesn’t currently sell it through its website, but we’ve seen it available here and there. MSRP: $140.
